serial number

where would i find the engine serial number on a 1995 powerstroke engine? thanks

Look just right of the oil filter, towards the top of it, stamped directly on the block. There is a 2inch by 2 1/2 inch flat spot there that has been machined the serial number is stamped there. Get a flashlight and a rag before you climb under there.

IF the stickers are still on the valvecovers, the front sticker on the drivers side cover has the serial # as well.
