For those of you that want to see more of fords new products you gotta move closer to detroit. Im 20 miles south of it. I see all sorts of new vehicles on the roads. Im 5 minutes from the flat rock plant where they build the new mustangs. I see at least 5 of them a day on the road. I've only seen one Ford GT, and that was on I-75. Gotta love living in Blue Oval country
Polarbear: Yes the show we were refering to said the GT-40 was in production from 1953 to 1967 and I thought that seemed a little early as I do not remember any untill the 60's .
Ford does however admit the program was done regardless of the restrictions in the new rules and was cost related dispite the GT's roaring success .
Followed a new silver and blue GT through the Tim Horton's drive through and it was reflections of the real muscle car days the whole time I was behind it with that raw power rumbling out the exhaust ahead of me . Lord I felt 18 again .
