Is anyone else tired of there center console/seat in their truck? I am. I never use the center seat and would love some more storage, maybe better cup holders, but definently better use of the space. Anyone out there does something about their center console? If so, what?
Sorry F350, but, i have found that my Wife fits nicely in the center location, cuts down wear on the heater motor, looks better than a seat cover, and improves the ride of my S/D quite nicely.
true, the smart cowgirl deserves to sit in the center, right next to me; however, i have a manual and her legs dont fit well while I run through the gears. Alsd, I have my CB and some other stuff mounted where the ash tray was and that also takes up room for her legs (she is only 115lbs and 5'2" by the way).
One of our users here made up his own to accommodate all his radios and switches for his lights. And he still has the seat back for storage and the armrest.
Here's his gallery, https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...50&albumid=955
I second ebay i have seen them on there for about 70 bucks i went the opposite way i bought a center seat cause i got tired of the wasted space and needed the six passenger capacity.
Over here in Aus we can only get the XLT package with center console. No option of a center seat. Priced it my self as an add on...........$1800(aud) parts only through Ford, Plus fitting, plus enginnering cert. At least $2500 for the job. No option over here for second hand or wrecked as not enough on the road.
I'm sure glad I'm not the only one that hates the center seat/console.
I've just moved from an 88' F250 to a new 04'sd. I like that there's a center seat up front for the occasional need to seat six, but there's still need for more storage. And the center seat does not slide. Even my 88' center seat is adjustable front/rear. AND the bottom flips up to reveal storage below. The new seat/arm rest is nearly worthless. The Tuffy options are good, but I'd rather have storage and functional seat. All that I see it's good for right now is to install a sub woofer under it. That still doesn't give me a good place to stash "shtuph" out of sight.
Hey Mick check ebay I paid $125 for the center seat there... i have the lariat w/ cpt chairs i removed the inboard armrest on them and the front bolt holes of the center seat match up and the rear holes need a little fabrication but nothing to major. It took me about an 1 hr to install the seat
on edit:
I missed the part about you being in Aus so you guys problably have different regulations and such

Hey f350xlt460:
I have two bucket seats (captain chairs) in really good shape, driver's seat is power front back, up down, etc. If you have tan leather 40/20/40 and want to trade, please let me know. I'd like to have that kind instead, so when i need it, I can have somebody sit, though I agree that the middle passenger's legs can make shifting more difficult.
