I have just bought a 1975 F600 dump. I'm losing brake fluid at the wheels. I can't get the front lug nuts off! The bolt spins! If I pull the bearing will the drum and all come off?
I would take a look - if you have outboard drums you should be able to remove the wheels and drums and do the brakes then reassemble everything without disturbing the wheel seals or pulling the axles. This, of course, depends on not having the same problem you had on the fronts.
I supervise in a shop for big trucks and am not sure about the smaller (F600) design but this is the case on ours. As long as the wheel seal is not leaking we usually do not disturb it.
