condensation

Here is one for you. Anyone else notice when you use your defroster that you get a condensation drip, like when you use the A/C in the summer? I had never noticed it before.

A/C cycles in defrost mode to keep the system lubed.

The AC runs in defrost mode to dry out the outside air, then reheat it so that it will quickly remove the moisture condensed on the windows as well as melt the frost on the outside. This makes it useful in cool wet climates even though frost is not on the outside of the windows, but the humidity is so high that the inside of the windows fogs up. Turns out on my 2002 it also runs when I switch the selector to the position where air is directed to both the upper vents and the floor. Took a bit of research to find out that this is normal, not a malfunctioning switch!

The more humidity in the air the more it will drip.

I've noticed mine doing the same thing, as long as it is from the A/C and not oil or anything else.
