Painted Mirrors
Anybody with Adobe photoshop want to give it a try?
No, I have not done it, but might look good.
My mirrors have the lane change and puddle lights in them which may require a creative tape job before paint.

I had mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle painted to match truck and tannau cover. Bumpers were already painted and matched truck. I love the look. I can take some pictures, but I'm new to the site and haven't learned how to post them yet. I'll take a look at that.

I too would like to see this. I like the black on "colored" trucks, but I bought white and the black really stands out.
Hey... 82F1507.5... What truck do you have that has the "Puddle Lights"? I was disappointed that the Lariat SCrew does not have this. Ford really scrimped on lights... i.e.... no lights in glovebox, console, under hood...

I'm waiting for parts to come out for the new Lincoln Mark LT pickup.
The pickup has mirrors that are part chrome. I think it would look good, especially on Lariats with chrome bumpers. It also has body color door handle buckets with chrome door handles like the Cadillac Escalade.

I just don't see why anybody would waste the money on the Lincoln truck. It is the same exact truck as the Lariot, but i'm sure it will be at least 10 grand more...probably more. All that money for a different badge and grill. I think Ford is a much tougher brand than Lincoln. If you want to drive a man's truck....drive a Ford...not a foo foo Lincoln!!

I'm not buying a Lincoln. I am waiting for the PARTS of it to become available.

Can I modify one of you photos in photoshop to show painted mirror?
After I make changes I'll put it in my gallery -I'll make clear its not my truck, just a mod in photoshop to show how a painted mirror might look.

Please disregard the email I sent about image in photoshop. The image I used was grabbed off net and is probably not a good way to go. I'm trying a different route. Thanks just the same.

Is your truck a Lariat, or a FX4? In your gallary you call it both, but I don't think it can be both. I like the painted mirrors, it looks great. Was it 2 tone, but then you had it painted all red?

Actually it is a Lariat with the Fx4 package. They are separate packages. I have the center console, it came with the lariat wheels, etc., it's just that the FX4 offroad package was added to it which adds the sport interior, skid plate and so on.
It was monochrome to start with so I didn't have to paint to cover any two-tone. But only the body and bumpers were already red. I had to have the door handles, fender flares, mirrors, etc. painted to match the body.

If you don't mind me asking... What did you pay to have those mirrors painted? Do have a problem with them chipping at all? Do you know how they prepped the plastic for paint? It seems like it's not a very good surface for the paint to adhere to. Thanks JP
