Does anyone know where I can get one, or if they even made them? I have a '90 F250 4x4 Super Cab with the front captains chairs. I took out the center console, and would like to install a center jump seat if anyone makes one.
I'm not sure what you mean by jumpseat... wasn't your center console the type that unfolded to a seat? If not, thats what my 94 F150 came with from the factory so you may be able to find the seat/console at the junkyard.
Ford offered a 40/20/40 bench seat in the F-series in our years. It's like two buckets with an armrest that folds up into a seat. I think this is what you mean, right? Any junkyard would have one, but who knows what shape it'd be in.
T-dickie, I wouldn't call it an armrest. Folded down I have two cup holders and a large storage area that has a tape holder and coin holder in it. Dimension wise its more like 35/30/35. Setup as a seat its quit large, almost as big as the other two. I use it mainly in console mode as the cupholders are awesome and will hold anything up to the big 64oz cups from places like mobile/hess.
shaunr, You must be mistaken as my truck is not an EB edition. I don't think I'd ever buy one either, I hate those brown strips on the bottom. I feel they degrade the look of the trucks!
My console is the old type that is just a bolted down console. No seating options with it. Since I removed it, there is a big empty space between the two front captains chairs.
I will investigate E-bay. I'm sure I can make something fit in there.
Popa Tim, you're right, it is more than an armrest, but that is what mine is primarily used for. And I just used 40/20/40 because those are the number I've heard assoicated with seats this style, but yours are probly more accurate.
