The other day while i was walking out of the local drug store, a small truck caught my eye. It was a small ford truck (not a ranger) even smaller I say. I cant find out what model it is so i decided to see if anyone here knows. Any ideas would be appreciated
Had a customer who had a Mazda with over 150K miles on it. The front brake rotors were trashed, local parts guy couldn't find them, called bud who worked parts at local Ford dealer. Next day, customer left shop happy, he tipped me 20 bucks. I went home happy.
I saw the assmebly line where they were made, one would come out Mazda, the next Ford. They weren't too bad for what they were, quite a few local businesses used them for intoan delivery.
Speaking of wierd stuff, the other day I saw an old ranger in a parking lot. The first of the small rangers, probably about an 85 or so, but it was a flareside. It actually looked like a mini version of my 86 F150 Flareside, it had the same looking fenders and tailgate and everything, but smaller. It was really neat, I didn't know they ever made such a thing.
Actually Mazda produced trucks in the 70's. I used to work on them while working for a Mercury dealership that sold Mazdas. They all came with a rotary engine, but the body and chassis parts interchanged with the courier. That dealership didn't stock many parts so I had to constantly go to the Ford dealer for parts.
I have a 79 Ford Courier. It starts like a ford. It runs like a ford. I just drove it 3200 miles from Colorado to Belize (south of Mexico on the caribbean.) It's not only wonderful, it's perfect for this little country.
