That's what I said, there will be flex in these areas. If it is excessive, that's where to look. As far as brand new, I don't know, but have not spent much time on dealer parking lots with new trucks trying this. The salesmen frown on this around here. Even if that was the case, camber is important going forward down the highway, not backing up. Don

I agree with ya there don,i was just pointing out if the truck was backed up when some of the guys here checked them it wouldnt give them a true idea on how bad they really are.Did you by any chance try it to see what i was talking about?I have always thought that it was the bushings in the radius arm flexing when backing up,just my take on it though.I still find it pretty weird to watch, lol.

I have laid underneath the truck to look at the brackets. (Not the brightest thing and very trusting of the driver) The bracket and the bushings twist. A urethane bushing might help. It is not a huge issue as long as it is not excessive. But it is a place to keep an eye on. Normal prying and checking will not always show movement in this area. Don

The reason for the tires looking like the bottoms are farther out than the tops when you back up is because of the toe in on a properly aligned front axle.

Thats why you should go back and read the orignal posters question on a 4x4 front end. Also is there a problem with your CAPS LOCK?
Stick around here awhile, you will learn more pratical stuff then that book on your lap will ever tell you.

I only used caps lock to make a point pnose. I know it must be hard to open your mind, but just because YOU haven't seen something does not mean it does not exist. I have been talking about 4x4's the entire time. I repplied to this thread to try to help out the individual who asked the question, not to have to explain all the mechanical aspects of a front end to you. With replies like yours, people might be better off with the book.

I only put the sentence about 2wd not having front diffs because you kept stating the above. I was just trying to get a little info out about the ttb.
