Temp Guage wiring Question?

I just wired up my new Tranny temp. guage. After reading instructions I realized i used 16 guage wire instead of 18 guage wire called for in the instructions.
Will this affect temp readings from the sender to the guage. It is an autometer 2 1/16 guage. Maybe a dumb question but my mind does dwell on these things!!
Thanks for the help!

Not sure what happened to my post? hmmm

Anyways, I used 16 guage wire to install a tranny temp guage (autometer) when it called for 18 guage wire. Just want to be sure this is not going to affect temp readings between sender and guage? Probably a dumb question but my mind does dwell on these things! I gotta get out more....
Thanks alot.

In just about every instance bigger wires are better.

Big wires have less resistance (and I doubt the circuit was designed around the resistance of the 18 gauge wire)

10 feet of 18 gauge has about 0.066 ohms
10 feet of 16 gauge has about 0.042 ohms.
