Cool thing about the SHO's with the 3.4 V8 was the fact that they had a reverse flow cooling system. Heads got cooled first...allowing for better control of knock and higher compression.
AFAIK, Yamaha did work on the internals of the 3.4 V8 also.

Correct. The 3.4L V8 ('96-'99) was a joint Ford/Yamaha effort. On the other hand, the SHO's 3.0L/3.2L V6 ('89-'95) was all Yamaha.

Therory (myth), come on, why do you insist on beating this to death

There is a distinct difference in internal designs of Ford modular motors and the SVO SVT semi/full race high performance engines. You have no idea about the clearences, or oil pump design and preassures in the GT motor.

You want to run 5W50 in your motor recommended to run 5W20 go ahead, but I suspect Ford engineers know more about it than you or I do.
