6.0 Wire Harness Chaffing Problem

6.0 Wire Harness Chaffing Problem
Recently purchased a slightly used '04 6.0 PSD F-250 (4400 miles). The build date (I guess) is in the upper right corner of the door jamb sticker. It is 7/03. Had Ford corrected the engine harness problem by then?
If not, is there anything I can look for or do to prevent problems? Anyone know exactly where the chaffing occured?
I am leaving on a trip almost across the U.S. pretty soon and pulling a 5th wheel camper. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
BTW, I love this truck!
