What is the offical Ford name for the tan colored interior on 95+ Rangers? I checked the door jamb sticker for a color code but mine has no interior codes. I'm trying to freshen up the interior a bit with some vinyl dye but I want to make sure I get the correct color the first time since it looks like I'm going to have to order the stuff over the net.
Look under your seats for a build sheet or a sticker that tells what color the seats are. That is how I found out what it was called on my 2000. It was Medium Prairie Tan. Hope that helps.
If you are going to paint the same color, you will have to clean the plastic/vinyl with a wax cleaner to prepare the surface (if you used armor all).
Then you will need to spray a bonding element to adhere the new paint.
Five minutes later, you will need to spray the paint.
You will find that once you clean it with the wax cleaner, it will also clean off the dirt, grime, etc.
When clean, you may not need to paint, therefore you save money.
Clean it first, then decide if you need to paint...
The wax cleaner is at Autozone for less than $10.00...
