explorer v8

hey guys. i just bought a 5.0 out of a 96 explorer. im gonna put it in a bronco 2. what i need to know is will an AOD bolt up to it or am i gonna have to get the tranny that came out of the X also? thanx

i think your going to need the tranny out of the x also

You'll need a flexplate for a 5.0/aod and a mass air conversion (mustang) wiring harness and computer to make things easy. You don't need an electronic tranny anymore than an electronic toothbrush. You could make your own harness out of the Xploder harness if you have it but the connection block for the computer won't match the mustang eec. That leaves you with using the 96 harness and computer. groups.msn.com/Explorer50LConversions/
