98 EB Expedition Moonroof

I have a 98 EB Expedition 4x4 with the factory Moonroof. The roof is stuck in the closed position (thankfully!) The rear of the roof will still tilt, but when i try to open the roof, it only moves about a half inch then stops. It will, however, move back to the fully closed position. I suspect a bad relay but I dont know where to look or how to test the relay when I find it (other than replacing it

)

Does anyone have any advice?

Since it tries to move, I would think the relay is good. At nighttime, can you see the lights dimming when you try to make it move to the rear after it stops? I think that would be a clue that it may be mechanically stuck. If the electrcial system doesn't seem to show any strain when trying to move it further, it must be a limit switch or something out of wack. I have never had a moonroof out though.
