Tach Install Question

I bought a SunPro Super Tach II 3 3/8" and it says i have to connect it to the Negative lead on the coil. What color is this wire? I've never installed a tach so i'm just curious before i start. Where is this wire located? I'm gonna mount it on the column. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

On my 76 with a 390, my tach is hooked up to the black one. I hope that helps.

The wire from the tach should be green, hook that wire to the neg. side of the coil (if you have electronic ignition it will say "TACH" on the connector) that wire color is usually green or black, or the coil usually has "BATT" on the top by the POS side, you will want to hook to the other side (NEG) for TACH. -Ed
