I have a 93 Bronco witha 5.8L. Coolant is flowing through the upper intake through the hose that runs over the radiator and into the radiator fill tube. Is this normal? It leaks when I rev the motor, is there a chance that I have a bad cap. I am hoping that I dont have a blown head gasket. Any info would be helpful.
That doesn't sound normal. You are talking about the filler neck on the radiator where the cap goes, correct? That hose should go to the overflow bottle, not the throttle body. The hoses should connect to something very near where the inlet and exit are in the throttle body.
It’s not the hose that comes off the filler neck. There are 2 or 3 hoses that come off the neck. This one comes from somewhere in the upper intake. The flow out of the upper intake hose is so strong it blows out of the cap. I replaced the cap and it still spews out when I rev above 3000. Does anybody know if the coolant is supposed to flow through that hose at all? Thanks
