Cool thing about getting Craftsman from garage sales is that if they're old, busted up, etc... just take 'em in, and get a brand new one.

I know last year for christmas i got the 151 piece Craftsman tool set, nice way to get me started, and then for my graduation present, my girlfriend and her mom got me a sears gift certificate where I went out and bought me a nice metal toolbox to store them all in, and guess what, I carry them every where I go to, in the back of the cabscares me a little at school, so yeah, they are in my room right now, but i have gotten the use out of a lot of em, lol

thats all i buy is craftsman and won't buy much anything else unless it's a big brand. i like keeping everything one brand. kinda weird but i guess it's one of those things or somethin. kinda like women with shoes. I do buy Snap-on and Matco when i get a good deal. i only buy lifetime warranty stuff. if a bend or break or destroy it i get a new one. Like a $20 hatchet i bought from sears about 5 years ago and i've gotten probably 8 new ones. when the head flies off i pick up the pieces and get a new one. i always keep um soaked during the summer months and they stay up pretty well. Shovels are the same way. snap the head off of em and take em back. Gotta love lifetime warranty.

I've found that most torque wrenches are roughly the same price. The problem I've found with the 1/2" model is it doesn't go low enough.... and the 3/8" dr inch-pound model I have doesn't go high enough... so I ended up having to buy the 3/8" dr 100 lb model to fill the gap between them... I'm waiting for the day when I need a 3/4" dr 600 lb model to torque down a rear pinion nut (a torque spec higher than my 1/2" dr model will go)... then my collection of torque wrenches will be complete...

I'd like to have both myself. i may go pick up a craftsman 3/8" drive at some point just to have both for those just in case things. I don't do a lot of engine work or anything but you never know. That rear main seal has to be replaced some time.
