fish2143, Welcome to the FTE forum. I heard it was Motorcraft 10W-30 oil for diesels (API CI-4).

Welcome fish2143. Glad to see another from VA. I live in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Where did you purchase your truck?

I live near Austin, Texas. It doesn't get that cold, but I do run the 5W-40 syn in the winter. Last winter I ran the 15-40 dino oil (Castrol) and it was really cold blooded.

I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are, get some 10W-30 CI-4 dino oil like Motorcraft. Make sure it is the CI-4.
