Cap to bed seal

Can anyone recommend a decent seal for my cap. I have the black foam stuff with one sticky side and used a double layer. It keeps working out from under the cap and is rubbing the paint off the bed. Any that I have seen doesn't look like it would be much better than what I have. I use the clamps to anchor the cap . Maybe that's my problem? ... Thanks....

I used the double layer, but I bolted the cap down. Never had a problem.

I got some "Camper Shell" tape from HD. It was $7. One side is adhesive, so it stics to the cap and won't work itself out.
