Cooling fan

I was overlooking my engine campartment when I noticed that my cooling fan has some cracks in it. I was wondering if this is a comon thing and if it should be replaced. I looked on my brothers 89 mustang which has the same type of fan and the same thing has happened to it. The stang has like 150 some thousand miles and the fan is still holding up on it, but for how long?

Cooling fan

I don't remember exactly why or anything but I do remember that its not good to be constantly driving around with the cracked fins on the fan. I mean I think partly cause of common sense where you're driving down the road, it finally decides to break off, where is it going to go? Also, when a fin does break off...you're going to lose that much more cooling power and nothing much to compensate for that loss. Hope this helps.
