Oil spray under hood

I took my '04 350 4x4 with 2200 miles on it for its first oil change on Monday. I did this prior to my driving trip from Tampa to Detroit. At my first fuel stop, I checked the oil again and notice oil spray on the inside of the hood. When you open the hood, the spray is in the center section nearer the windshield. It looks to be right over the turbo. I wiped it off and ran another 550 miles today. Same deal. Not tons of oil, but enough to wipe off and enough to smell when you're sitting at idle for a while. Any ideas what is causing this? BTW, got 15.6 mpg on the lie-o-meter. Haven't done the math to verify yet.

Who did the oil change? How many quarts were used to refill? Check your dip stick (the trucks) and see if the oil level is above the plastic tip. If it is, you are overfilled. Empty out about 1.5 quarts. See if that fixes the problem.

i had that same oil leak, the intercooler tube was the blame and it was replaced 3k miles ago. It came back now after 3k miles.

Your crankcase ventilation empties into the intake in front of the turbo. The turbo compresses the air and oil. The oil will get forced out of the intercooler connections.
