what was the first year of the first fuel injected 460?
i have a 73 460 in my 77 ford and i wanted to switch to fuel injection... can someone help me with a place with a fuel injection kit...
or would it be better/cheaper to just buy the motor?

The '86 F-250 I just sold had a carb. The '88 F-350 I used to own had fuel injection. Both were 460's. They very well may have done both for a few years.
I believe you need different heads to switch to fuel injection unless you buy a bling bling Holley TB unit and they're pricey. Fuel injected 460 heads are available on ebay frequently for cheap and I'm sure you can find them locally for not a lot of money. So far as I understand they'll bolt to the old blocks. But to be honest by the time you do all that it may be easier to just find a wrecked truck with FI and swap the whole engine.
