My first try at a post. I purchased my truck used, it has a K&N filter. I would like to change to another filter. I see where Donaldson has one that fits in the F-250 factory box. Part number P606122 (Ford PN2U2Z9K635-AA) Is the Donaldson filter the same one that is used in the Tymar application? Apparently Banks uses the K&N filter. Is this a good improvement? I am open to suggestions (however I am retired and cost is a consideration). Every change and/or improvement that I have made to the truck has been based on info from this forum. All of which have been successful and have in most cases saved me expense.

that donaldson isnt the same one i would get ahold of dale isley at tymarperformance.com the phone number is on there i dont know how much his system is going for right now but a want to say about $160 it replaces the stock air box to let it breath but still get the great filtration of paper
Look up the kwik filter. It is basically the same as the tymar but uses the stock tubing etc. All you really buy is the filter and two hose clamps. Contact kwikkordead he will give you the scoop. I do not currently use this set up as I purchased an airaid intake. It is pricey but I like it.
