I just got a letter this weekend from Ford telling me about an extention on a Customer Satisfaction Program (recall) to replace the Power Adjustable Accelerator pedals on certain 2002/2003 F-Super Duty and Excursions built with the 7.3 diesel.
They say that if your vehicle is equipped with a power adjustable accelerator pedal that it may not always perform as designed and that your vehicle could continue to idle or unexpectedly slow down when you push the accelerator pedal.
I don't know if this is your prob or not but the program number I was given to have this taken care of is 03B03.
