Question 1996 Ford Explorer leaking coolant

I have a 1996 Ford Explorer V6 4.0L with 109,000 miles. I have been experiencing coolant leaking when the heat is on. I noticed it is coming from at/near/around the heater hoses. But the heat works fine and when I turn it off, the leaking stops. What could this be?

Any fogging of the windows or coolant smell in the cab? If yes, suspect bad heater core. If no, check hose clamps/hoses.

No, there is no smell of coolant and no fogging. The hoses running to the interior are fine but there is a part that is connected off of the hoses. That is what is leaking, but I do not know what the name of that part is. Thanks.

Ahhhh.... That is probably a vacuum solenoid that controls the water flow to the heater core. If that is what is leaking, NAPA should carry those. If not, even a dealer shouldn't be all that expensive.
