I've got a 78 bronco, and every time I roll up the rear window the arms pop out of the washers inside of the tracks attached to the window, I've been trying to adjust the side tracks but I can't get them right does anybody know what else I can do?
I am thinking that the glue/sealant that holds the glass itself into the track has degraded, and has become offcentered, thereby causing your wheel to pop out. I would recommend taking it to a glass shop so they can center it again and clean the track. They should have special glue/sealant to hold the glass back in. This happened on an 88 F150 I had, and they had just the cure for it.
Actually you are the second person in the past week or so to post such a problem. As I understand it, the little pastic carriers at the ends of the regulator arms are popping off the ball studs. Sounds like it could be a glass alignment problem but if not, the carriers may just be worn or cracked (inspect closely). JBG sells the replacements. The difficulty is that the replacements are sold pre-assembled so you must remove the ballstud from the regulator arm as well as the plastic carrier and then replace them both. Basically they look to be a factory-assembled part that probably must be replaced if they separate.
I had the same problem several years ago with my 78. As suggested above just drill out the old post and bolt in the new one's. It's not bad and fixes the problem completly.
