Smashed valve spring
I have a '73 Bronco with a 302. It started running rough, so I purchased a compression gauge. Found a cylinder with 0 psi. Pulled the valve cover off to have a peek and noticed the number 2 spring was very bent and the seats underneath the spring were also mangled. I wasn't quite ready for the rebuild yet. What has probably happened? Is it rebuild time, or can a get a bit more life out of it?

What was compression on other cylinders? Engine use oil? or otherwise ok? If so, you could put a set of springs on it. I think I'd replace that one & see if compression was ok before doing them all.
