Decided to go another route
Ramb,
I was more motivated to make this work last week, after I finally got the harness, because, unfortunately, with rising gas prices, I am now forced to part with my truck. Believe me, I am in serious mourning over this turn of events, but it will be for the best. I am returning the harness to AER and selling the rail DVD on EBay. (same way I purchased it over a year ago) I appreciate all the help and advice and I am sorry that together we could not figgure it out. I can offer my contacts and suggestions to others as I have gathered a lot of information, developed some contacts, through my dealer, online, and on EBay, and I hope I can possibly help others in the same prediciment. I have sources that have harnesses and others can help with installing, you just have to have the right combination of equipment. (as you stated in the previous thread) I probably had an 05 harness trying to install in an 04 with an 04 DVD player. (that is what someone else told me and even offered to diagnose at no charge to me, thanks Glenn if you read this) Thanks again for all you help and good luck to everyone in this thread.

I have the optional DVD wiring in my 05 SCREW. Went to the dealer to see about the DVD player. Said it would be $1400.00 and another $190.00 to install it. Needless to say I won't be purchasing that real soon. I think $1400 is a little steeeeeep! I guess I'll wait for an aftermarket model or possibly one from a totaled truck.
I found this Aftermarket rail dvd system for $110 but it does not come with the wiring harness so if you do not have the harness then you would have to buy that also. It looks likt they carry the harrness also for an additional $110. I am not real sure what to look for or anything like that I just bought my truck a week ago and not sure where to go from here.
If anyone has comments or suggestions about finding and installing a dvd system on the rails i am looking to be pointed in the right direction.
Brandmotion F-150 Overhead Rail DVD Entertainment System : JC Whitney: Auto Parts & Accessories
That is the link to the aftermarket dvd system let me know what you all think... Is it a good deal?

Northern...........
the add in JC witney appears to be just the harness for a factory dvd player.
if you a are still interested in the factory dvd system, contact Brandmotion directly. they are selling the factory validated production dvd player through the aftermarket.
they can supply the dvd player, bins , and a harness, at much less than what the dealers charge, but same product.
