I thought that was Havasu. We are there every other weekend in the summer. Check out my gallary, I have an 05 28' Magic Deckboat that my X sometimes struggles with on hills. Diesel would be nice. If I can get a running start I am fine. Maybe we'll see you out there next year.
Back to the original posting; there is a nice 4x4 trail through Bill Williams reserve just outside of Parker dam. We took it this last summer and we ended up in the area east of Parker at its end. It starts out in the trees and is lush and green, goes through canyons, and ends up in the desert. Nice trail that takes about 1.5-2.5 hours

I used to take a trail up to a fire tower (back in NH) and could barely make it up one obstacle (someone with 40 inch tires made huge ruts). Imagine our surprise when we got to the top one saturday nite to find a geo sprint sitting up there with 6 kids in it!!
We think they carried it up!!

Used to live in La Quinta and spent some time in Anza-B.. Awesome place.
Some good trails used to be in Joshua Tree where we would wheel then rock climb. Those were the days. BC. Now it's a different kinda fun.

I've done some rock climbing in Joshua tree also. I have relatives that live up in Landers, which is about 1 mile from the hammers & about 15 miles from Yucca Valley. Done a bunch of mellow desert exploring out there also - the dry lake beds aren't so dry right now
Most people probably recognize the name of 29 palms, or as some call it, 29 stumps. Truckhaven has a few to many pointed breakover angles - kinda rough on the LWB of the X's.

Another awesome weekend of Chukar hunting SoCal. Drove many grueling miles on jeep/atv roads, added a few scrapes and dents and bent the balance thingy on the trans but so what.
