Support frame, remove top shock bolts, remove spring retainer(top),remove nut/washer at bottom of spring(nut is 1 1/8'') and your done getting old one out.If you have a sway-bar,remove bolts from frame.Reverse to install.

Thanks, I wasn't sure if the springs would fly out and cause damage. I assume install is the reverse. Your expertise is appreciated.

They won't fly out but might have a little pressure on them, the top will usually "flop" out.

Thanks again, I'm going to try tomorrow, it's my day off. I'll try & keep u posted. The springs that I'm putting in are new & they are for a snow plow package from Ford, they're alot bigger in diameter but not height. I got them both for $50.00 from a recently retired mechanic, he's got more parts "cheap".
Thanks

finished installing coil springs

well it took 1 day for one side and 40 minutes for the other side. every single bolt that could break did, even the one holding the spring to the axle broke. I had to get a new one made at a machine shop. The other side I just cut the spring out, much easier. Install was easy.
Thanks
