89 460 question
I just bought a 89 F250 4x4 with a 460, C6, and all the power goodies. It runs like stripped ape anyway, but I was curious what mods you can do to the efi setup to get a few more ponies with out getting into the motor much. Ive actually got a 429scj that may find its way in when I get my new motor for my drag car. But in the mean time, Id like to do some cheap stuff to it. Has true duals dumped behind the cab, no cats, and I think they may have gasket matched the lower intake. Seems to run good, cant wait to get a trailer on it and see how it pulls my mustang!

I have a few thoughts
although I'm not sure about these mods on the efi your running - but on a carbed engine I would suggest starting by changing out the stock timing chain and gears to an early pre-71 set. That will advance the cam a few degrees and provide a nice gain. While your in there you may want to just consider swapping the cam. Something around 212 to 224 degrees duration at .050" lift and a valve lift of .510 to .520 is about the max on stock valve train. Headers will add some HP. If it were carbed, a nice Eldebrock Performer intake with a 750cfm carb would top it off. In your case, perhaps adding a cold air intake and a performance computer will do the same.
