ABS control module on 94 E350
Also, any ideas on where to get the brake fluid pressure sending unit (I think)mounted vertically at the end of the master cyl.? Mine's leaking up through the unit.
Thanks.
Paul
Hope that helps. Andy
Read this link, if your comfortable with the results, which I did this on my '92 E350 cube van, then fine.
After repairing, bleeding, bleeding and more bleeding the brake line, and the ABS light on, I went that root, now the ABS light comes on, and goes off, I don't know of anyone that has the ABS code reader, that can clear the stored codes in the control unit, so I'm fine with the results.
And, yes, I've read the posts about the 8500# RV...........Mine is a 9600# cube van, plus sometime an added 2500# materials, and I don't have a problem. Yes, I can drive my 3600# MJ and stop on a dime, but a cube van (RV) is not going to happen, and you Drive accordingly to the weight your pushing down the road.
Of course...........try to tell that the the dummy that pulls out in front of you in their mini cars, that you have 2 extra car lengths if front of you for a reason..........
pbrooks259 - The dealer is going to tell you that, they must do things by the book, for warranty work, and as per FSM's, But........I don't think your '94 is still under warranty, unless you have the "extended warranty"
You wrote - "Also, any ideas on where to get the brake fluid pressure sending unit (I think)mounted vertically at the end of the master cyl.? Mine's leaking up through the unit."
The '94 and '92 E350 I have don't have anything at the end of the master cyl, the pressure sending unit is mounted on the disputation "T", under the master cyl, on the brake lines.
If you need one, junk yard, or PM me, I'm parting out a '94 E350.
