WOW, finally, something I agree with Verizon on... Maybe I WILL renew my contract in Jan.
I won't climb on the bandwagon just yet with the Don't call list, it has worked great for the house phone, but I think I'll wait until I start getting annoying calls to do something about it....

I sent of a email to sprint, and this was their reply..
Dear Mr. YETI,
I understand your concern regarding mobile directory.
It is true that different mobile carriers are planning to set up a
directory. However, Sprint does not agree on this. The reason behind
this is that, Sprint gives high value to customer's privacy and
security. You do not have anything to worry about for Sprint will not
push through with this plan.
