How Do I Prperly Bleed Brakes ,just Put New Pads On Broke Open Bleeder Screw ,wife Started Pumping Brakes But Had Cap Off Of Resevoir,no Brakes At All Now,please Help
Start at the farthest wheel from the master cylinder. Which will be the passenger rear wheel. Get a clear tube and connect it to the bleeder. Stick the other end in a clear jar partilly filled with brake fluid. Open the bleeder and slowly press the brake pedal. When the brake pedal reaches the floor. close the bleeder and then release the pedal. Repeat the process until there are no air bubbles flowing threw the tube. Move on to the drivers side rear wheel. repeat process. Then the passenger side front wheel. then the drivers side front wheel. DO NOT let the master cylinder go dry or you will have to start all over again. Hope this helps.

Close all the bleeder screws.
Fill the master cylinder and install the cap.
Have someone pump the brakes quite slowly about 6 times or so and then hold the pedal down. Have them tell you when the pedal is down and make sure they dont let the pedal up.
While the pedal is down slowly open the R/R bleeder screw letting fluid and/or air out. Once nothing more is coming out under pressure, close the bleeder screw.
Repeat the procedure at the R/R until clear fluid is all that comes out. Repeat it for the L/R, then the R/F and L/F. Start with the wheel the furthest away from the master cylinder and work towards the closest.
After you do each wheel check the fluid in the master cylinder and top it up if neccessary.
Thanks Tony
You beat me with your reply. I knew I shouldn't have been talking to the wife in the middle of typing
Some people recommend the bottle and clear hose method, others recommend the way I described. Both ways will work. Tony's is less messy
