I have a 67 Ford pickup has the hole for the brake warning light. How does the brake light hook up.

I am assuming you mean how does it mount? It has been about a year since I mounted mine. As I recall, the bezel mounts from the front and the socket and bulb mount from the back with a push and twist motion just like mounting one of the park or tail lamp bulbs. There is a spring put in front of the socket 1st before mounting it. The spring tension holds the whole thing together.

Wiring? I would suppose there is a hot to one side of the bulb, the other side goes down to the switch on the proportioning valve. It grounds out to light the bulb?

I'd have to go look to see for sure.

It's been decades now since I sold the Prop. switch. I remember them being two wire and nylon plastic body. I am assuming power comes from the dash wiring, to the switch, up to the bulb to be grounded there. I can check my wiring schematics when I get home for ya.

No. There is no switch on the pedal to light it up. I did check my wiring schematics last night. There are two paths that light it up. Both start at the ignition switch. One path goes directly from the ignition switch to the bulb. Bulb socket is the ground. I am assuming this is for lighting the lamp under "start" so the driver knows the bulb is good. The other path goes from ignition switch, through the proportioning valve's switch, to the bulb. Again grounding at the bulb's socket.

I doubt your truck has it, as it was a dealer installed accessory rarely seen on these trucks.

C7AZ-2B264-A .. Low Brake Fluid Warning Lamp Switch-Threads into Brake Pressure Differential Valve.

All 1967 FoMoCo vehicles. 1968/79 is different.

My 67 truck just had the hole for the brake warning light. Bought a brake warning light assy. Going to hook the brake warning light to my brake line lock.

Not a hot rod---A 1-ton 4x4 flatbed with a 360 motor 4-speed. The truck started out with a diesel and 5-speed. Then went to a 460 and 4-speed. Now a 360 and 4-speed. A line lock would make a good parking brake.

Did all 67-72 trucks come with the hole for the brake warning light? Just wondering, my truck had the hole.

I am assuming they all did. Your 1967, my 1968 does, and my 1971 F100 parts truck did.
