hey yall, i got a 1975 F-250 and it has a 360 headers and duals and i think cherry bombs, how do people have that crackeling sound when they let off the gas? i like that and want mine to do it? its loud now i might quiet it some but i want the rumble and deffanatly want the crackelin sound when i let of it! please let me know! Thanks............
How long are your cherry bombs? The shorter the glasspack the more crackle it will have. I'd say 24" would do ok, 12" have alot of crackle to them...so I'd probly settle in the middle with around 17". Just my $.02
ok cool thanks fer the 2cence i have noticed too that there r some quieter mufflers like turbos or something like that, that ckackle too any ideas on that one ?
For the most part turbo mufflers dont have much a crack to them. IMO the best way to get a good crack back out of exhaust is go true duals off headers with 1.5" pipe into some huge echo cans. No cherry bombs/glass packs/turbo muffs, none of that, just good ol strait pipes.
talk about restiction if you ask me. My dads 4.6l Mustang crackles pretty good under deceleration. He's got dual FM40's. 2-chamber i believe. anyways just a suggestion. look into the FM line. i'm not to big on them but they sound good on his car.
