Adding Self Adjusters to drum brakes

I recently upgraded the brakes on my 1966 shortbed stepside to a dual master power, front disk setup. I left the rears as drum brakes but replaced the hydraulic lines, linings and drums. I was surprised that the rears were not self adjusting (neither were the old fronts that I removed). I am wondering if I can make the rears self adjusting by adding a kit such as LMC pn 45-3130 which is intended as a rebuild kit for self adjusting brakes. Are all the parts there to do a retrofit onto a non self adjusting brake?
Does anybody have any experience with this?

You have options, You can buy the above, score some at the local salvage yard, or do nothing. The truck wont stop stopping if you don't have self adjusters. We just had to do it ourselves back in the dark ages. Imagine that.
