1992 E350 Van

I think it has the 351W motor in it. I have 210,000 miles on the van uses about a quart of oil every 3, 000 miles, right at about an oil change. I am considering a newer van only if this one is going to go. I called a shop and they want about $3000 to install a refurbished motor. My questions are:

1. How long will these motors go for?
2. What is the advice from the forum, buy a refurb motor, what do i look for in a reputable motor.
3. Some advice?

the 3000 is about right when you figure labor to install the motor to. the engine itself will run ya around $1000-1500 for a stock or mild built 351w. if you can do it yourself all you will pay for is the motor. 210 is alot of miles, how long will it last is hard to say im suprised it lasted that long for ya especially in a full size van. but if you do get a new van let me know cause i would buy the power steering pump of your 92 hehe.

I am shopping for a newer van now. The other things little things are starting to drive me a little nuts, i.e. the double doors on the side, the latch broke from the door and rattles as I drive down the road.

checking out a 2001 72k in colorado.
