We haven't got a logo, nor a calendar. To do calendar, I would need input from the members if they would want their trucks in it, or just make something up? I only know of the High Plains chapter doing a calendar right now. I haven't gotten any feedback for a while on the logo, so it has temproarily dropped while I deal with my own life situations. I can't do everything by myself, if the group wants these things, everyone needs to step up and get involved and help make decisions, I won't make them by myself. I do what the group wants, but I am not an all power decision maker. These things require group effort. The logo decision died off with no results, and I don't know of any calendar project even being started for us. We have no store because no logo. I only kick out ideas for so long to no response before I just drop it due to lack of interest. So if this is something that is wanted, interest needs to be there. I could make such, but then it would have been my decision what went on, not the group[s, and I'm sure that it wouldn't be what everyone wants. The High Plains group is using their member's trucks. Is this something that everyone would like to do? I haven't heard a thing about such until now. Same thing on the meetings, it's hard to plan one when low turnout and low response as to when or where is the results. I don't mean to sound negative here, but this is exactly the troubles I have been having trying to get responses out of everyone. To make more activities and other items, I need feedback from the members as to where, when, and what is available and of interest.
neither is mine... it does it's job and that's my main concern. maybe someday I will fix it up, but the finances aren't available, so I do as I can. If it dies in a major way, it simply won't be fixed foir a bit. I won't say replaced, unless I fix the 79 that needs a motor, but right now I would rather run the 86, as it more suits my needs.
who says your trucks have to be pretty to be in an Iowa calender? although I like the idea of the girls hehe, but that would get me into trouble if I put some bikini clad babe on one of my trucks, although can I put on on the hood in the mud pit for a pic.
You can use my truck in the picture....though you'll have to get it from the right angle . Gotta keep the headlight issues out of focus. Though I'm gonna get that fixed soon I hope...after my brake work on Wednesday...and a couple other things...
Not that I really need a Calendar...but I'd get one if available. Just to support the club.
I'd buy a calendar from the group... no matter what ended up on it. Our own trucks, girls, whatever. Neither of my trucks are "show quality", but who cares? They work for us, don't they? Show them doing what they do and how they look, right?
As for the logo, I thought we'd pretty much come to a concensus, but after checking out some threads about it, I see that interest has pretty much died out. Again, when we do get a logo and a store to buy things with it printed on, I'll be among the first to make some purchases.
I think it would be great to put our trucks on it After all its our calender, lets show our trucks for what they do, work trucks!! and for the girls sounds great!!
we got enough logo ideas to do a calander of those lol. i say just pick one. use the one dennis likes. i like them all. i dont care which one ends up being used. as for the calander. trucks anit supposed to be pretty. we live in iowa, we use our trucks everyday. we dont just take them out on sunny days for a cruis in the park. let everyone see what we drive and are proud of even if it is dirty and has some rust. everyone post a picture of their truck in their gallery and just go from there. seems like the easy way to do it to me.
