bench seat conversion

I want to turf the bench seat out of my 95 f250 reg. cab xl. I got a super deal on a pair of buckets out of a 96 f250. The buckets were sitting on the floor of a shop when I got them so I'm going on the sellers word that they were out of a f250. Does anyone know if the tracks are different between the regular cab and the extended cab? The reason I ask is that once I got the carpet up there were no holes for buckets and the existing holes are way off. It looks to me that there should be a set of tracks available to mount to the seat belt hole and the rear stud for the bench and possibly the front bench hole therefore leaving only one hole I would have to drill. With the tracks I have now I'm going to end up punching eight holes in the pan to fit them. Has anyone done this or have any advice?

howdy, i have a 96 f150, and i went to get a couple buckets that would just fit in. no deal.

i did get 2 seats out of a bronco that at least lined up on 1 or 2 holes per seat.

drilling for the extra holes wasnt bad, but ive got dual tanks and one gets in the way for the driver side, so i left that one out. and the passenger side was short a hole due to a piece of the body i didnt feel like dealing with. but the seats were fine and tight, never moved, until i put the bench back in. the buckets werent matching, so im gonna wait til i can afford a decent set.

seat help

i don't know how well you are at welding, but if you can weld or you know somebody that can, make you a frame out of square tubing that bolts to the existing studs for the bench seat, and then make tabs that will let you mount the buckets to the square tubing frame. I did the same exact thing, so i know it will work

I think the box stock idea will work well. I think I will produce a box stock square for each seat, mount the squares to the existing mounts and then mount the seats to the squares. I beleiceve I'm going to have to weld in a couple of peices to bolt the runners on but it will work. I just hope its not to high as I'm a vertically challenged person (short) and have to reach the pedals. 1' or 3/4" stock should work fine . thanks
