Ivan whats up ?

Have you driven it yet ?
Queston: Is that right front shock going to have to be moved back for the cross over steering arm ? Looking at my new arm, it looks real close.

Nope, haven't driven it yet. Still waiting for a slew of odds and ends to show up including my new pitman arm, brake lines, shocks, a day off of work, etc. Are you using the stock mount for the front shocks? If so I'd imagine you might run into some problems with the steering arm. I plan to build lower shock mounts on the spring plate where they'll be in far enough to be out of the way of the steering components.

Test fit my new hood yesterday and I'm taking it up for paint today. The same guy is supposed to have my fender done by the 19th (I bribed him because he's had it for almost a year). I'm trying to see if I can get all the parts finished up and have it drivable in about 2 weeks here. There's still the dash and all the electrical to tend to.

Hey Mark, while I'm thinking of it . . . are those L&L headers you're running and if so do you have tire rubbing issues? I'm really considering going to fenderwell exit headers but I'm a little concerned about my turning radius. Driving a 20 foot truck makes turning a nightmare anyhow.

I still have the shock in the stock location but I'm planning on making mounts for duals now that I'll have room on the left side for them, so it wont be a big deal to move it if i have to.
They're Headman headers. Not only did I have to turn the turn the stops out all the way, I ended up welding an extension on them too. But it turns sharp enough I guess.

Hmm, may have to scrap the idea of fenderwell headers. Too bad.

That's good. Kind of bummed me out because I really wanted those headers. I don't like all the bends that have to be made in the exhaust with the chassis exit headers.

I checked it out last night and there's really no way to make it work unless I lifted the truck another foot. Hmm, not gonna happen. Too bad. I'll have to get creative with the chassis exit headers so I don't have to have all those crazy bends.

Heck Ivan just run vertical exit headers, no crazy bends to worry about that way and besides you can get them chromed, and add some more bling that people can see, plus no clearance issues to deal with

Ah they'd mess up my hood scoop. It's a sad thing when bling interferes with bling.

ROKK! Reverse zoomies! So, would they be seimooz then?
On a side not, a buddy of mine had a tube frame monster with a 429 and Rockwells, and he used the p. side exhaust manifold for the d. side and vice versa, and ran the exhaust out the front with 90 degree bends. Looked like a bull snorting when he flew thru the pit.

C'mon man, you were wanting to put a flame thrower on anyways, right? Just run them straight off the head out your fenders. NO bends

I just thought of something. Hey Ivan, do you have any body lift on your ride? If so, you could run the exhaust dang near right down the top of the frame down to wherever you wanted to dump it. Might hafta reroute brake lines or something, but just a thought. I can't recall if you have any body lift tho...
Maybe get some aftermarket shorty headers. That's what I did on the Bronco. Mustang headers and rerouted the exhaust line away from the tranny and driveline.

Ha! Funny Mo . . . I had to leave the house at 6:30 this morning so I was out there at 6 under the truck trying to figure this out. I REALLY hate body lifts but I took some measurements and if I put a 2" body lift on the truck and modified my T-case support I could get a chassis header and run the exhaust up over the frame. My only concern would be the heat on the floor pans but if I shielded it I should be okay. Hey, I wanted the truck a little higher anyway.
