If i was to put Shell V-Power in my truck do you think it would make a difference, its a 2003 Screw 4.6L V8, with around 13000 miles on it, it cleans the fuel injectors and valve intakes, do you think it would make a difference on my truck in anyways possible.
I doubt it would make any real difference. I've put all different brands of gas in my truck and haven't noticed any difference between brands. But there are some that are religious about what brand of gas they use. So maybe you could try it and see if its worth it. That V-power stuff is 87 octane, right? You really don't need anything above 87 on these trucks, if it is stock.
My dad owned a Shell station for 20 years and I hated having to buy gas from his station. I had a persnickety '88 5.0 F150 for 9 years that never ran right on regular and barely ran decent on premium. Whenever I filled up with Shell gas it ran like crap. I've had the best luck with Mobil and Amoco gas.

Sure it's the gas or was it the underground tanks that were contaminated? My dad had a 88 F-150 with a 302 also and it would run on whatever you put in it.
The V-Power deal is just another marketing tool to get you to buy the gas. It's what Shell calls their 93 octane. Shell came up with an improved additive package.
I too have had some recent mileage problems with Shell. I tried their regular and got substandard mileage- about a mile and half per gallon drop from Chevron, 76, or Texaco. Reminded me of when I used Arco or some other discount brand. By the way, just to prove to myself it was the brand and not a driving habit, I went back to Shell after a couple of tanks of other brands and the results were still worse than normal by a gallon and a half.
If my injectors need cleaning... how am I to know, I don't have a borescope. I might consider it if my mileage starts to tank and I've performed a complete tune-up with no improvement.
My advice is to run a bottle of techron injector cleaner after a new air filter is installed. 13,000 miles is a bit early for a complete tune-up.
