My 03 Excursion Diesel 2X4 has been in the shop 6 or 7 times for vehicle vibration, steering wheel, floor board and seats vibrate. I've exhausted recourses at ford so now I'm off to Pirelli ?
Vibration is the worst at 65 - 85 MPH. Steering wheel vibrates like the wheels are not balances. If no one is in the seats they vibrate like there going to come off their hinges ! I can feel and see my legs vibrating from the floor board and the seat ..... Oh ya, my Perili's are wearing on the outer edges when on the front .
I read on another post (don't ask me which one) that somebody was able to get Ford to take their X back because they could not resolve the vibration issue. On the other hand, I've heard of fairly new X's developing a vibration that turned out to be the tranny's output shaft and the differential's pinion shaft being at two different angles relative to the horizon.
I've got 7000 plus miles on my Perilli Scorpions with no problems, very little wear and a smooth ride. There is a little, very little, vibration that starts around 80-85.

Talk about an old thread. Wow almost 5 years old.
Nevertheless I haven't heard much good about the pirellis but I may try Michelin next time. Suggestions?
