I think that all of the experiened "truckers" should have some pity on us new truck owners. Some of the conversations in these forums get pretty technical and us new users may not be technical kind of owners. I for one always wanted a pickup truck, and for family reasons was never able to own one. I finally got one and enjoy reading the postings with the hope of learning more about trucks. Some of the people answering my posts are just plain nasty and sarcastic and don't give the newbies any justice. I hope that this may change some of your attitudes to new users and truckers.

hey man dont take it personal i had the same problem when i first started posting and still to this day have a few and as anything in life there will always be a few **** retentave types to pee on your parade but just remember some have been on here a long time and have seen many many post get repeated many times and get tired of seeing it over and over, so my suggestion to you and i know it takes a while but go back threw the archives and look into those and that will probably answer most of your questions! but keep your head up and remember most of us know what your going threw and dont have to bite your head off for asking a question

Thanks for the confidence builder. I have looked through the archives and also other places for an answer to a tire question. I have a 2002 V6 Ford XLT and want to know what the largest size tire is that I can put on the truck without doing any other alterations. Although there are many posts about tires they all seem to relate to the 4x4's and I have a 4x2. Thats why I asked that question a few times. I even went to some outside web sites and they were no help either. Maybe you know the answer. Again, thanks for responding.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-Feb-02 AT 04:56 PM (EST)]In my experience in being a " People Type Person" for last 35 years
I had come to the conclusion many years ago,
That:
It is not necesarily how a person says something or how that person says it,it is how the other person takes/interprets it.

I look for certain words & actions in the way one speaks, to determine how a person is.
The words are Please,Thank you,I'm Sorry,I apologise.
These are the signs that a person is caring and respectful enough of others and their feelings.

Also, When you're in a public forum such as the web.One has to realize that they will eventually come into contact with people who have had a bad day/days and Don't really mean to hurt others feelings
Not that, that is an excuse just possibly a reason.

If you want a real eye-opener about different personalities, visit the newsgroups through your newsserver.

Anyway,if I haven't welcomed you already.
Welcome to FTE, Absolutely the BEST Ford related site on the web.

Personally speaking, I would like to see more people actually sign their REAL name at the end of a post(this to me would show a more family type atmosphere). But,maybe thats just me.

Also, Layman's terms are available by request.

You know, I hear what you're saying. I try to post topics that even an inexperienced person can answer and benefit from all in the name of user participation.

I know it's tough but read as much as you can THEN if you can't find the answer to your question, ask it.

Thanks for the official welcome. It is nice to see that some of us do care about others. I for one really do. I have learned in life that the information you receive from experienced folks, on any subject, is much more valuable that anything you can get from a book or from other means. Since I am a new trucker I do have many questions and am really benefitting from this web site. I live in South Floirda where there are many truckers but I do not come in contact with most of them I am an executive with a large company and most of the people I come in contact with are the "lexus" types. I am sure you know what I mean. My peronality has to be one way Monday-Friday and I get to myself on Sat and Sunday (which is much more fun). I enjoy detailing my truck and spending time working on it. I enjoy adding the "toys" to the truck and get much satisfaction from it. Do you know of anybody who lives in the South Forida area who posts here. Well, thats enough philosphy for now, hope to chat with you all again, soon. I am mainy on here during the week.
