Well I just got my true dual flowmaster exhaust on my 91 300. I was wondering if there is any other mods or things I can do to my truck to make it sound more of a grunty gurgley deepish sound. When i get my truck past 3,000 RPMs it kinda sounds like a street racing car, wich I really dont like.
ONe way to test the open air filter theory, disconnect the two tubes that join the air filter housing and the throttle body, from the throttle body and run it up the road. See what you think but don't make it permanent, dust and other crap in your engine isn't a good thing. I did this once just to see and believe it or not it changes the tone of the vehicle/engine...slightly. Lemme know what you think.
Someone also made the comment that an H pipe between the header/exh manifolds and mufflers, joining the seperate exhaust pipes, would tone it down. That would be a fairly cheap thing for a muffler shop to do.
