so getting a reflash and getting rid of PI is a good thing??? i thought you should avoid that but if it will prolong injector life than isnt that a good thing?

It is in my opinion. PI only worked at an idle, not on the rest of the operating range. So if that improves the longevity of my injectors, great!

i read mostly what i can on here but i just wanna be clear on this. it seems my truck has never been reflashed (according to oasis) ssooo it would still have pilot injection correct? when i go home to canada to pick it up should i get it reflashed if it is working fine just to get rid of the PI? also i just bought a predator so i may need a reflash anyway. but what would you recomend? it has the C94's so i wana be as nice to it as possible.

Thanks, Bob!

Weraracer. What is the build date of your engine. It depends what build it was as to what flash it had. If it's the older flash and you aren't having a problem, I don't know if I would flash it. Do you know you have the C94 injectors? The build date of the engine would tell us a lot. You can find it on the rear of the driver side valve cover. It is actually on the FICM that is on the rear of the driver side valve cover. It should have a date like 27 April 03. Underneath that will tell you what plant it was assembled.

Mine is too. I have the C94 injectors. I like the new flash. It runs like it did when I bought it, but it is a little louder at an idle. With the Oct and Dec flashes, I wished I didn't have it flashed. With this flash, I am happy with it again. I am running a tank through to get a mileage check. I hope to be getting 16 or so around town. I do use Power Service or Stanadyne fuel additive. Once I use up all my PS, I will stick with Stanadyne. I think it is the best bang for the buck.

yeah i try to follow who has what and what problems they are having. as for the new flash, i have been following that thread but it hasnt seemed to come to a conclusion yet. you just got that flash? if i was to go get it (i might need a flash to run the predator) what would i ask for? and can any decent mechanic do it? the reason i ask is that where i am from the techs probably arent as knowledgable as a larger dealer would have. thanks.
