hey now.. i just got back from a hard weekend.. and well put jetjock.. that is pretty close to some stated facts.. didnt know that about the superlift kits for the superduties.. with those leaf packs.. sounds like you would have a nice ride... things must of changed with the company and past few years..
and no... these boys dont get under my skin.. after all its just the internet...and im not here to make friends or take warm showers with posting gurus typing out their sexual feelers...
I have an '04 Super Duty CC, 6.0L and want to lift truck 4" or so with 35's. I've heard that Pro-Comp has really improved their springs. I like the look of a 4" lift, not sure about 4.5"....probably not much difference. Any experience with either one of these lifts? Is there much difference between the two? What is your preference, or any other suggestions on lifts??
this came directly from Donahoe Racing--
Thanks for the inquiry. You do not need to cut or weld with any of our kits. The difference between the 4” and 4.5” is that the 4” system is designed for the moderate to extreme offroad enthusiast. The system comes with our 4” front spring that will handle any terrain. The 4.5” system offers the best of both worlds with a much better than stock ride and maintains your towing and load carrying capacities. The 4.5” system performs extremely well offroad and can handle anything you throw at it. That is what has made the 4.5” system our best seller. All of our products come with a no questions asked lifetime warrantee. I hope this helps. If you would like some more information please do not hesitate to give us a call. Thanks
Wow this post again... this was old news... First Quadsand and CWB, my next trip to Glamis is in the planning phase, looking like early june... i know... it will be warm.. but im from Texas!!!
Nija: good reply might want to call DR and ask how they claim "much better than stock ride" out of the hangars, ive heard that claimed many times and it always boggles my mind...... I do belive they mean the expensive shocks there going to sell you, and the increase in sidewall flex and give, from the bigger tires your going to run at lower pressures, are going to give you the "much better than stock ride"... i think that is what they mean as i cannot see how an extended hangar would?... you could run those expensive shocks with any hangar kit?...so i guess there ride would be similiar?
well here is actually an independent review on the dr lifts. they state that the donahoe racing lift is arguably the best lift for the 250. here's the link and you guys can decide for yourselves. http://www.truckblog.com/story-178-n...uper_duty_lift
i hope to order a new 250 very soon. im not sure if i will lift, but if i do it will be the 4.5" edge lift from dr.
What is the problem with Donahoe Racing? All you guys seem to have it out for that company. The Funny thing is everything I read or research or talk to customers about Donahoe Racing is great. Best ride, best tech support, best customer service, best fabrication. Even in Magazine articals that never talk about ride quality; when they do and artical on donahoe its always talked about and praised. I have a new 05 F250 and I have done a Ton of research on Lift kits. I have talked to shops, Magazine editors, and owners of differnt lift kits and everyone that has delt with Donahoe Racing has nothing but good things to say about them. Except this web page. I want to get the Donahoe 4.5" kit but you guys seem to have some issue with them. Did I miss something?
Well your reserach is done, now go buy your edge lift and be done with it...
Exactly.
05dream... your question about what some of our problem is with the edge lifts has already been stated in numerous threads. Do yourself a favor and look back at old lift threads and your question will be completely satisfied.. and then some.

Dude where just giving you the facts... if you read my post i am only trying to educate the simple minded to the fact that Hangars are "hangars" they hang YOUR SPRINGS... whatever your springs are..those are what determines your ride...do you get it?...sooo this site is trying to inform people to make educated decisions..not bash EDGE...I have EDGE 4.5" hangars..did you know that??? Allong with EDGE Crossover steering and plenty of other stuff.. yes there a good product, AND there is allot of other good products out there too......

Congrats on the 05, for the rest of it i think you meant to say you read the article in March 2005 edition of "Four Wheeler" on page 82 on the 8" DR kit... yeah that has allot to do with the 4.5" kit your considering, hey did you ever notice those mags say every lift kit turns out great?... Im not bashing Edge, in fact i think they are the best, im just laughing at all the reaserch you did......
