I am so glad you guys are all willing to kill abunch of brain cells for my amusment, it makes my work day go by much better when I get a good laugh before having to take off.
Fishy, lift is so much better that way you don't have to crawl over the rocks you just clear them but the bad side of lotsa lift, big tires, and more hp than a locomotive, is when you do get stuck you just push in the hole, and put up a marker cause aint nuttin gonna pull you out
fine by me......afterwards i wanna see how that lift helps ya out on the rocks!
Somehow I think you'd be surprised. I don't know if it's the stupidity of the driver or the build of the truck . . . or maybe just a scary combination of the two. All I can say is I don't see that truck having issues with any of the TTC mini rubicon stuff if that's what you're talking about. It'll clear most anything and is far more stable than it looks being so high up.
pfffft...that TTC mini-rubi is easy. i wanna see him try some of this east coast crawlin stuff! takes a lot more skill than just hittin the gas, comp rigs have a good bit of trouble around here! but that's another post for another day!
-cutts-
EDIT: i think an FTE group wheelin day is in order! i think we should meet dead in the center! how about........Colorado?!?!

And THATS, the big disadvantage of having a truck like mine. If there isn't any heavy equipment around, and I bury it, I'm hella screwed. Guess I'll just have to live with it
Thanks for the props, Ivan. I think when folks look at the pics of Superbeast they just think its another huge truck, and have no idea how much engineering, custom fab, and thought when into it to actually make it work well. Gotta get the vid from Dan that Jeff took of me crawling up those rocks...you could hear them muttering "he's gonna roll, he's gonna roll...", but guess what? Made it up without rolling
If you want to talk about TTC, the truck that went the fastest through thier rock pile was the "bummer" with the 49" iroks, sure he hit a cone but pretty much everyone there was impressed,
also speaking of TTC I've met the guy that run the Big block powered CJ-7 "Jimmy Jones" he didn't do all that well but kind of cool to see some one you know in the mags,
didn't do all that well but kind of cool to see some one you know in the mags,
No kidding. I never would have dumped her if I'd known she was going to be a PB centerfold.
I thought it made a quick point to watch that rig on the 49's fly over the rocks like they were speed bumps. There's no need to "crawl" if everything clears.
Tell that to Dan Dibble. All I'm hearing is Show me some pics of your truck on these rocks Fishy. All I see is dirt mounts.
dan is just freakin crazy with a very well built rig!
i wish i could post up pics of me at Tellico but when i go i usually am driving my rig and just isn't possible for me to take pics as i drive....unlike some other folks! if you haven't noticed i haven't posted any pics in a looooong time since the camera i had was mutilated and cannot get anymore pics up. I have done a LOT since i last posted a pics and some of you prolly would not recognize it
if i can get the pics up of me at grayrock i will....i think the only time i had all four tires on the ground was when i started at the trail head and when i got back at the trail head.
I know how one can get 7"+ of lift by using the front hangers of an 80-96 4x4 and the rear shackles off the same truck. Man i wish i could go wheeling on some of the standstone (a.k.a. slickrock as the mags often call it) that i have around here, to bad most of it is either lease land with paranoid renters or provinical park land.
