I've got the HID's in my car and wouldn't trade them. There are a couple of aftermarket kits that are good, but as everyone states they aren't cheap. If you decide to go the HID route you need to pay attention to the Kelvin rating on those. The way it was explained to me is that the higher the number the more blue they get, and while some people like this, it actually cuts down on actual light output or how well they illuminate. I had heard that the 4800K where right around the optimal for the most light output.
